The overall seasonal bag limit for the Turtle Dove has been reached and that, with immediate effect, the hunting season for the Turtle Dove is closed.
The announcement was made on Thursday afternoon by the Minister for the Environment, Energy and Regeneration of the Grand Harbour in conjunction with the Minister for Gozo and Planning.
The European Turtle-dove can only be hunted between 1st September and 30th September. The overall bag limit for the autumn hunting season for Turtle-dove is 500.
