Dr Samuel Azzopardi, President of the Gozo Region, has advised that he has spoken to officials of Identità Malta, who have said that Gozitan ID cards will be able to be renewed at every Local Council, with dates of starting to be announced.
In the meantime Dr Azzopardi said that he was given the assurance that the existing ID cards remain valid nationally in Malta and Gozo (except for travel).
However, those who need to change it quickly can still do so at the Identità Malta office in Victoria.
