Data released by the National Statistics Office today has revealed that during the first quarter of this year, total guests in Gozo collective accommodation increased by 24.5% to 21,713 on the same period last year, while nights increased by 23.6% to 50,211.
In Gozo, the NSO noted that the average length of stay remained constant at 2.3 nights.
The net occupancy rate in Gozo increased by 3.5 percentage points to 28.6% during the same period.
On a national basis, total guests in collective accommodation establishments during the first quarter amounted to 567,770, up by 14.8% reported in the corresponding period of 2024.
Total nights spent during the period under review reached 2,332,915 an increase of 17.4% over last year.
During January-March, the largest share of guest nights (51.4%) was reported in 4-star hotels.
Net use of bed-places in the first quarter of this year increased by 3.6 percentage points, when compared to the same quarter of 2024, to 52.6%.
