The Executive Committee of the Nationalist Party met this evening to approve the process that will lead to the appointment of a new PN Leader following the resignation of Bernard Grech yesterday.
At the start of the meeting, the Executive took note of Bernard Grech’s resignation and unanimously approved a Motion expressing gratitude to him for his five years of service at the helm of the PN – a role he will continue to fulfil until the leadership election process is concluded.
The members of the Executive Committee also approved a Motion to convene a General Council of the Nationalist Party, as required by the PN Statute, during which the PN’s Electoral, Records and Data Commission will be tasked with initiating the process for the appointment of a new Party Leader.
This General Council will be held on Sunday, the 22nd of June, at the PN’s Headquarters.
In accordance with the Party Statute, the Executive Committee also approved the regulations by which this election will be conducted.
