The ‘Together We Flourish’ project has been inaugurated – With a new building in Gozo to offer therapies and therapeutic services for people with disabilities.

A new building at the Ghajnsielem Learning Hub, with space provided by Agenzija Sapport, will serve as a one-stop shop where therapies and therapeutic services for people with disabilities will be offered, led by the Voice for Inclusion organisation.

Minister for Inclusion and Volunteering Julia Farrugia and Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri, inaugurated in the project in the presence of Agenzija Sapport CEO Oliver Scicluna.

The opening of this new space means that Voice for Inclusion now has a dedicated and professional environment from which it can operate, welcome clients, and carry out its work in favour of people with disabilities in a more efficient and visible manner.

It was explained that the holistic investment for this project amounted to €120,000, with partial funding from European funds, the Good Causes Fund, and the Ministry for Inclusion through the NGO Co-Financing Fund, operated by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector.

Minister Julia Farrugia praised the initiative and stressed that, “the opening of this space continues to demonstrate the Government’s commitment to making inclusion a reality for all; not only in Malta but also in Gozo. Voice for Inclusion plays a crucial role in the community, and with this investment we are ensuring that it has the necessary support to continue to strengthen the voice of persons with disability.”

Minister Camilleri stated, “I believe that this is a very important step so that various services can be offered at this Centre for children who previously had to go to Malta for them. Gozitan children can now receive the same services as Maltese children.”

During the inauguration, Pauliana Said, Executive Chairperson of Voice for Inclusion, said “the official opening of this location is a big step forward for our organisation. This space gives us the means to offer an improved service. Furthermore, we are ensuring that Gozitans have fair and equal access to services as they have in Malta. Inclusion and equality are not just words, but principles that we must put into practice, and this office is concrete proof of this.”
