The Police have said that a 41-year old man from Thailand suffered serious injuries following an accident last night at the Mgarr Harbour marina in Gozo.
The accident involved an explosion on a boat at around 9.15pm on Thursday evening, Police said.
Police went immediately to the scene and found the man suffering from injuries and medical assistance was requested. He was taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was certified as suffering from serious injuries.
Members of the Armed Forces of Malta as well as members of the Civil Protection assisted in the case.
Magistrate Dr Simone Grech was informed about the incident and appointed an inquiry.
Police investigations are ongoing.
