The Labour Party has stated that, “in just four days Alex Borg has withdrawn his own proposal regarding towers in Gozo.”
The PL argued that following “public pressure Alex Borg had to withdraw his initial proposal”
“Common sense has always dictated that there should be no towers in Gozo,” said the Labour Party in a statement. “Ten years ago the Labour Government carried out reforms so that this type of development would never be considered.”
“It never was considered – except by the Leader of the Opposition four days ago,” PL said.
The Labour Party also questioned who is in charge – “the Nationalist Party itself, or social media and its politics and those behind Alex Borg pulling the strings.”
