From Wrexham to Liverpool in the UK, CEO Daniel Borg represented the Gozo Business Chamber in two dynamic business days, during which the Chamber said, he was exploring new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Daniel Borg attended the Elevate Conference, organised by Wrexham County Borough Council. This flagship event gathered entrepreneurs, business leaders, and professionals, featuring inspiring talks on regeneration, investment zones, and the City of Culture 2029 bid.
Wrexham showcased a strong economy, solid educational infrastructure, and its rising visibility through Wrexham AFC.
During the evening’s networking dinner with leading community stakeholders, Daniel Borg said that he witnessed first-hand Wrexham’s drive for innovation, regeneration, and international positioning – “a vision that resonates strongly with Gozo’s aspirations.”
In Liverpool, meetings focused on learning from regeneration models such as the Baltic Triangle, exploring how creative hubs can inspire Gozo’s own innovation ecosystem. Discussions also covered opportunities to facilitate export pathways for local businesses into the UK market.
The Chamber expressed its sincere thanks to His Excellency Professor Stephen Montefort, High Commissioner of Malta to the UK, for making these important contacts, and Peter Schriewersmann for coordinating the two-day visit.
The Gozo Business Chamber concluded by saying that “these exchanges mark an important step in strengthening the bridge between Gozo and the UK business communities, laying the foundation for long-term collaboration.”
