PEACE – a concert during the Christmas Season, organised by the JP2 Foundation of Gozo, will take place on Sunday, the 28th of December, the last Sunday of the year.
The Foundation explained that “the aim of this concert, which holds only female participants, is to forward a message which was quoted by the late Queen Elizabeth II – “there is time for everything, one of which is PEACE.”
It added that, “after so many world struggles in the past months now it’s time to give Peace a chance. Therefore, all those who have Peace at heart are invited to attend this music manifestation.”
The event will take place at Saint Augustin Church, Victoria, Gozo, starting at 7pm.
The JP2 Music Quintet, with two violin players Kathryn Mizzi and Loreane Scicluna, a viola player Eneh Lang, a cellist Fiona Murphy and a pianist Jennifer Grech, will perform with three local sopranos, Roberta Hili, Katrina Mifsud and Giannella Muscat. Together they will perform a number of peaceful melodies for the occasion.
The event is being supported by the Ministry for Gozo and Planning – Cultural Heritage Directorate and the Victoria Local Council being the European Capital of Culture 2031.
