“Reach for the Stars” is the theme chosen for this year’s edition of SkolaSajf which will run from the 13th of July to the 11th of September, with a break during the week of Santa Marija, between the 10th and 14th of August. Applications are now open and close on the 4th of May.
This was announced by the Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation Clifton Grima, who said that the attendance of children at SkolaSajf has grown over time and today has reached around 12,000 students.
SkolaSajf is delivered by 54 centres across Gozo and Malta between Monday and Friday, including educational centres for students with special educational needs.
The theme chosen this year conveys an important message to children, that through education, among others, they can achieve their aspirations and dreams. The Education Minister spoke not only about the excellent service of SkolaSajf, but also how in these eight weeks, children will continue to receive quality education.
He said that to operate this service, various employees are recruited in different roles, from coordinators, play workers, child support workers, sports play workers and play worker performing arts.
