The Civil Protection Department said that its rescue teams in Gozo responded to an emergency in Nadur on Saturday after a woman sustained a broken leg while walking and required immediate medical assistance.
The CPD said that due to the difficult terrain and limited access to the location, the casualty was carefully immobilised before being transported via the CPD RHIB Delta 1.
The injured woman was then transferred to Mgarr Harbour, where she was handed over to a medical team from the Gozo General Hospital for further treatment.
The Civil Protection Malta extended its thanks to The Malta Police Force and the Emergency Department of Gozo General Hospital for their assistance and cooperation.
