The Gozo Work Trial Scheme For Youths has been launched for this year with the aim of giving young people the opportunity to experience the world of work with private entities or voluntary organisations.
Speaking at the launch, Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri said that through this scheme, participants will receive an allowance of €120 per week, up to a maximum of €600 over a period of five weeks.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Jobseekers: Anyone aged between 16 and 20 and looking for a job can apply. The participant is eligible if they have reached the age of 16 and have not reached the age of 21 by 31st of July 2026.
• Full-time students: Students between the ages of 16 and 25 who are attending an educational institution on a full-time basis (such as Secondary School, MCAST, ITS, Junior College or University) are eligible to participate.
• 15-year-old students: 15-year-old students who will turn 16 by 31st of December 2026, and who have completed Form 5 (Year 11), are also eligible to apply, provided they submit a valid School Leaving Certificate with their application.
The scheme will run for five weeks between Monday, the 3rd of August and Friday, the 4th of September.
Applications open, Monday, the 22nd of June and close at noon on Friday, the 3rd of July until noon.
