Civil Protection tackle large grass fire in Gelmus area of Victoria

Earlier today, Civil Protection Malta firefighters on Gozo responded to a ”large” grass fire in the Ta’ Gelmus area, Victoria.

The CPD said that its crews worked swiftly to contain and tackle the blaze, preventing further spread of the fire and ensuring the safety of nearby areas.

It added that thankfully, no injuries have been reported.

The CPD expressed its thanks to the Malta Police Force and the Emergency Department at Gozo General Hospital for their assistance and support during this incident.

”We remind the public to remain vigilant, especially during hot and dry conditions, and to report any signs of fire immediately by calling 112,” the CPD said.
