The Malta Police Force said that it has been awarded another Quality Label, this time in recognition of the work of the Community Police, following the same distinction awarded to the Gender-Based and Domestic Violence Unit in 2024.
The Police said that this recognition reflects the commitment of the Community Police Officers to provide a professional, accessible and people-centred service within our communities.
As part of the Quality Label process, a customer survey was carried out in March and April 2026 to assess the service provided by the Community Policing Teams, with results showing a high level of public satisfaction:
Overall score: 4.36/5
Customer satisfaction: 87.1%
92.6% of respondents said they would recommend the services of the Community Police to others
”The strong results highlight the empathy, professionalism, confidence and reassurance provided by Community Police Officers during their interactions with the public,” the Police said.
The Malta Police Force was also recognised with the President’s Award for its work in relation to Storm Harry, during which officers served the community in challenging circumstances. Representatives from the Rapid Intervention Unit and District Police received the award on behalf of the MPF.
The Malta Police Force concluded by saying that ”these achievements are a testament to the dedication of our officers and to our continued commitment to providing a professional and trusted policing service to ensure safety and security in partnership with the community.”
