Matthias Sultana, youngest Gozo moto talent, impresses in Spanish test

A three-day testing session in Spain, preparing for upcoming Mir Moto5 Trophy races, concluded on Sunday for Matthias Sultana, a young talent from Gozo and a rising star with Team Pileri Terni.

The 11-year old made his debut in December 2025, taking to the track for the final round of the year’s Mir Moto5 Trophy at the Cartagena circuit in Spain. On that occasion, he demonstrated his talent by lowering his lap times with every run and securing an impressive race position for his debut.

During the recently concluded three-day test, Matthias Sultana gained experience on the classic Villena circuit, the challenging 3550 metre Albacete circuit, and the twisty Yepes circuit. It was on this final track that the young athlete was able to test the ideal riding posture for upcoming races.Matthias Sultana, youngest Gozo moto talet, impresses in Spanish test“Matthias’s enthusiasm is contagious. – explains Francesco Pileri, team manager of Team Pileri Terni – He is young, yet he displays surprising maturity on the track.
