”The exceptionally high temperatures experienced this summer have placed significant heat stress on the local dairy herd, resulting in a temporary reduction in fresh milk production,” Malta Dairy Products has said.
It added that ”while lower milk volumes are normal during the summer months, this year the impact has been more pronounced, and as a result, availability of some Benna products may occasionally be limited.”
The company advised that it is ”working closely with our local dairy farmers and our production teams to maximise the milk available and ensure the best possible supply of our products to the market.”
It concluded by saying that ”we sincerely thank our customers for their patience, understanding and continued support of Benna and Malta’s local dairy sector.”
