There were three fatal accidents at work reported during January to June this year, the National Statistics said today.
The NSO also noted that in the first six months of last year there was a slight decrease (26) in the number of claims registered with respect to non-fatal accidents (1,015).
Around a quarter of those involved in an accident at work were absent from work for between 7 and 13 days.
Workers in elementary occupations accounted for the highest share of reported non-fatal accidents at work.
More than 60% of those involved in a non-fatal accident at work were Maltese nationals.
