Gozo and Malta were plunged into total darkness by yet another nationwide power cut, which occured this evening at 7.35pm, power was finally restored at 10.30pm this evening. This was the second such national blackout in just twelve days.
The traditional Good Friday processions were thrown into chaos, but many managed to eventually complete their itinerary with the aid of candles, torches and mobile phone screens.
In a statement, the Enemalta Corporation has said that ‘a technical fault developed.’ The company said that a fault occurred during switching operations at the Delimara Power Station.

Perhaps it is one of the hidden benefits of the eco-Gozo initiative?
At lease we were able to view the thousands of stars which are not normally visible.
