On April the 3rd 2010, the Imperial Gozo Yacht Club organised the 3rd annual Barbarossa Cup, which is a yearly challenge sailing event organised as a team race against the Vikings Sailing Club.
The race started and finished outside Mgarr harbour, Gozo, with a course around Comino and was characterised by Force 2-3 winds which varied in direction.
The IGYC yacht First Class finished first on corrected time, followed very closely by the Vikings yacht Sailing Buddy. The Vikings team won the overall event with an average corrected time for their yachts of 2:46:00 versus and overall time of 2:50:18 for the IGYC.
