FKNK said in a statement today that any hunters who apply for the special hunting licence will be ‘named and shamed’ and will also have their FKNK membership revoked.
Applications for the special licence’s for this year’s limited spring hunting season, are available from MaltaPost offices as from today.
The Prime Minister, Lawrence Gonzi, has said that the decision is final on this year’s season.
FKNK went on to say that hunting and trapping was a socio-cultural tradition of Malta and Gozo and that hunters would not be betrayed again.
