Vodafone has announced that their customers are now benefiting from reductions in data roaming rates of up to 50%. Vodafone’s data roaming rates are based at €1.75/MB on Vodafone preferred networks and €2.50/MB for other EU operators, making them the best value on the market. These rates are applicatble to customers on pay monthly plans.
“The demand for data services while travelling has increased rapidly,” said Alison Ellul, Data Marketing Executive, Vodafone Malta Ltd. “For this reason, Vodafone has made hefty reductions in its data roaming rates to enable more people to use email, web browsing, and other data services on their smartphones as well as the Vodafone Internet Key whilst abroad.”
“The Vodafone preferred networks, consist of 69 operators in 46 different countries across the globe making it easier for Vodafone customers to roam whilst abroad.”
“Vodafone is also giving its customers the chance to control spending whilst using data services abroad through a new service called ‘Data Roaming Notifications’. To apply, customers need to call Customer Service on 247 from their Vodafone, or visit a Vodafone Outlet before going abroad. This service alerts the customers when they reach their desired spending limit on data roaming. Customers will receive two SMS alerts, one before they reach their spending limit and another SMS when they actually reach their limit.”
Detailed information is also available on www.vodafone.com.mt [1]. Customers may check the website before they go abroad to find out which are Vodafone’s preferred networks and to get more information regarding the ‘Data Roaming Notifications’ service.
