Update: The Former Prime Minister Dom Mintoff was admitted to the Mater Dei Hospital in the early hours of today.
Mr Mintoff, 94, is in the Coronary Care Unit of the hospital.
Last September, Mr Mintoff was taken to the Mater Dei Hospital with slight injuries following a fall, but had to be be moved to the Intensive Unit shortly after.

The ex-Prime Minister Mr Dom Mintoff was admitted as a medical emergency last night at 00:11 am to the Critical Coronary Care Unit of Mater Dei Hospital.
Mr Mintoff is 94 years old and is suffering from congestive heart failure and dehydration.
Although his condition has improved he remains critical. The medical team caring for Mr Mintoff strongly recommend that he remains under close observation and monitoring. Furthermore they emphasise the need for rest.
