I was wondering where Giovanna was and here she turns up opening an art exhibition. Power for the course I suppose! Did anyone think to tell her that while she was opening an aqua art exhibition described as a reflection of the Maltese underwater world, there is a real life aqua disaster taking place at Dwejra where the Maltese underwater world is being polluted? Perhaps she could go down there and take an interest. If necessary I could arrange for a couple of friends to hold out a ribbon if it would make the journey easier.

Art is for me to visual thoughts. If Mr Tyrrell would have come to join the inauguration of this exhibition or visit the exhibition during opening hours at the ITS, he would have realized that the thought behind this exhibition is the pollution problem of our sea. It was also discussed in the opening speech. The message the artists want to send out with this exhibition is: “see- appreciate and respect”. Only if one can see the beauty and appreciate what surounds us, one can show it’s respect.
We need to make people aware of it, not everybody is a diver and can see what we can see – therefore I am the opinion, we should make people aware in a positive way that way we can achieve more.
