Heavy snowfalls are forcing the closure of London Heathrow Airport and causing disruptions to flights scheduled to operate to this airport today.
Due to the closure of this airport, Air Malta flights KM100/1 which was due to depart from Malta at 0750 local time and from London Heathrow at 1125 UK time is now cancelled. Air Malta KM102/3 which was due to depart from Malta at 1650 local time and from London Heathrow at 2030 UK time is also cancelled.
Air Malta flight KM116/7 to London Gatwick departed Malta at 0930 hours local time. Passengers booked on KM117 from Gatwick to Malta are to expect delay due to congestion at Gatwick Airport.
