The plaster bust of the late Bishop Emeritus of Gozo, Nikol Cauchi, which will form part of his tombstone at the Gozo Cathedral, is on display on one of the altars at the Cathedral in Victoria.
Vicar General and Cathedral Archdeacon, Giovanni Bosco Gauci, said the people’s feedback about the bust, which is by Gozitan sculptor Alfred Camilleri Cauchi, was positive and the bust will be sent to Italy shortly to be cast in bronze. The marble works on the tomb stone, by Raymond Bonello of Xaghra, will start soon.
A concelebrated Mass will be held at the Good Sheperd Church in Victoria, this coming Wednesday, the 2nd of March, at 6 pm, on the birthday of the late Bishop Emeritus Nikol Cauchi.
A book on Bishop Emeritus Nikol Cauchi will be launched at the Gozo Curia, Victoria, on Thursday, the 3rd of March, at 6.45pm.
