Last Saturday, the 12th of May 2011, the Malta Cricket Association, along with Mosta Girl Guides, held a session of cricket at Ta Qali to introduce local teenagers to the game.
This session was also joined by the Qormi and St.Venera Girl Guides and the three groups practiced some skills as well as having had the opportunity to play the game.
Cricket is a great way of bringing people together through sport as it relies on a lot of team work and can be played by all ages.
The Malta Cricket association will be holding more sessions with Girl Guides and Scouts in the near future and invites any interested youth organizations in Malta or Gozo to have a go at the sport by contacting maltacricket@yahoo.co.uk [1].
