Gharb Primary school’s 50th Anniversary celebrations

GC Gharb Primary, recently celebrated its 50th Anniversary. For the occasion a Thanksgiving Mass was said by HE Mgr Mario Grech. Afterwards all the school children took part in a musical where the past merged with the present, highlighting the contrast between old traditions and new modern systems.

Retired teachers, ex-heads and Mr Edward Camilleri, who was the original headteacher of Gharb school, recalled events of the last 50 years as they looked through old photographs showing the history of the school.

A memento of the occasion was given to those present.
