The stories covered in this weeks issue are:
1. The Passion play L-Imsallab fi Triqatna (The Crucified in Our Streets) by L-Ghaqda Dilettanti Gimgha l-Kbira – Ghawdex, was held in the streets of Victoria on April 9. The play started from St Augustine square and proceeded through the streets of Victoria, where episodes from the last days of Christ were held in various stations culminating in the crucifixion beneath the Citadel bastions. More than 200 actors took part in the pageant.
2. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech visited the Boys’ Secondary school in Victoria where he was shown a Lenten and Holy Week exhibition put up by the students. Mgr Grech presented a book token to all the students who participated in the exhibition.
3. Bishop Mario Grech on Sunday April 10 led the Way of the Cross at t’Ghammar hill. Meditations, related to the family and written by Mgr Grech, were recited along the 14 stations, while a family from each parish holding torches walked with Mgr Grech, who carried the cross.
