‘Sounds of Christmas’ is a concert by Chorus Urbanus, taking place in Independence Square, Victoria, on Wednesday, the 21st of December, at 7.30pm, as part of the Victoria Local Council’s series of activities for Christmas.
Taking part with the Choir and the Junior Section will be the Fourtissimo Brass Ensemble as well as the band Novel with some spiced up arrangements by the choir’s musical director, John Galea. A number of carols and other Christmas songs will be performed. These include among others John Lennon’s eponymous ‘War is Over.’
The concert is being held with a charitable purpose, as are the other two being performed [1] over the Christmas period by Chorus Urbanus and through these concerts collections will be held for Id-Dar tal-Providenza, the Arka Foundation and the Malta Community Chest Fund.
