The Environmental Health Directorate within the Superintendence of Public Health has said this morning that the public, as a precautionary measure should not consume following product because of a level of Epoxidised Soya Bean Oil and other substances in excess than level permitted and hence not conforming with Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 of 14th January 2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food and Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.

The Company involved was ordered to withdraw the involved batch from the market, which is being done, but since a quantity of the same batch may still be at the consumer’s end, as it is normal practice, this Directorate is obliged to inform consumers of this recall.
