The 20th International Supervision Seminar, organised by the German Society for Dental Hypnosis was held recently in Gozo. The seminar was attended by around 200 dentists, all of whom are members of the Society.
The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, who was invited to meet the members present, said that “the fact that the AGM had been held in Gozo for the past 20 years demonstrates that despite its small size, the island of Gozo has much to offer to all those who visited, not only in the summer months, but during the whole year.”
“Although there is still room for improvement, the tourism product offered in Gozo today has been strengthened by the quality services that are now on offer,” the Minister stated.
“The success over the years in the organisation of these types of conferences and seminars in Gozo gives encouragement for its growth as a destination for a corporate meeting place.
“This is a sector which the Ministry for Gozo is addressing as part of the work that aims to attract more tourists to Gozo in the less popular months in the year,” the Minister conlcuded.
Some of the Association members chose to spend a few extra days in Gozo together with friends or their family enjoying the natural beauty of the island in spring time, while also visiting some of the local heritage sites such as Ggantija and the Citadel.
