The verse from the Bible the that the Pope has chosen for youths to reflect upon during this year is ‘Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!’ (Philippians 4:4. It is also the theme chosen for this year’s World Youth Day Concert.
This is a concert with a difference, a feast of live music for youths, by youths, where everyone will come together for a Catholic celebration of joy, faith and music.
The concert involves a number of local bands which were given the opportunity to express their talent in an original Christian themed song. The winning song will be titled World Youth Day Song of the year.
This concert is being organised in preparation for World Youth Day, which will be celebrated in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, next year.
