The JP2 Foundation, together with Alpine Travel, proudly presents a concert by the Kew Wind Orchestra from the UK, as part of its tour around Malta and Gozo.
The orchestra, conducted by Alastair Wheeler, is one of Britain’s top non-professional wind orchestras.
Formed in 1984, KWO is renowned for its popular and challenging repertoire of symphonic, classical and jazz music.
In recent years, the band is proud to have won a succession of gold and platinum awards at the National Concert Band finals, commissioned a number of world premieres and performed with leading West End singers.
It has played in top venues around the country and has been invited to perform at events in Europe and Asia.
Sunday’s programme will include classical, jazz and film favourites incuding excerpts such as ‘mulholland drive.’
The concert is being held at Independence Square, Victoria, on Sunday the 6th of May, starting at 11.45am. Admission is free.
