To mark the 8th anniversary of Malta’s membership of the European Union, the Malta-EU Steering and Action Committee (MEUSAC) is organising a national conference to highlight Gozo’s experience as an island-region in the EU over the past eight years.
The conference will be held on Tuesday, June the 12th, 2012 at the Grand Hotel in Mgarr, Gozo.
During this conference a detailed account will be given of how EU funds have contributed to the economic and social development of Gozo as well as to the island’s environment and cultural heritage. Representatives of various sectors in Gozo will take part in a panel discussion. Participants will be able to intervene and contribute to the discussion.
The closing address will be delivered by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi.
