All set for the start of the first MCAST Expo this weekend

MCAST students and staff are completing the final preparations for the start this weekend of MCAST Expo, a four-day event aimed at providing prospective students and Maltese families with a taste of the College’s campus experience.

During the MCAST Expo, between Saturday 23 and Tuesday 26 June, at the MCAST main campus in Paola, the general public, particularly young students who have just completed secondary (Form 5) or post-secondary (sixth form) education will be able to collect their free copy of the new full-time courses prospectus with the details of MCAST’s 161 courses beginning in October and to participate in several hands-on activities to try out different skills and experiments.

Each MCAST institute will encourage visitors to engage in these enjoyable activities and find out more about the hands-on elements of the industries involved.

The Institutes will also be hosting representatives of major local employers to give details about career opportunities in their respective areas of study.

Visitors can also meet MCAST students, learn about their end-of-year projects and discuss career options and any queries about the full-time courses beginning in October with the College’s student support staff. They can also learn more about MCAST’s evening courses, and all other services it offers to young and adult learners alike.

The event also comprises a series of talks about MCAST’s 10 institutes, and the Gozo Centre. For a full schedule of these talks, and more information about the MCAST Expo and the new Prospectus, visit www.mcast.edu.mt [1].

On Saturday and Sunday evenings, the MCAST Expo will also feature live Euro 2012 football on big screens. Food and drinks stalls will also be set up.
