5th Anniversary celebrations of Radju Lauretana
Hundreds of people attended the special event organised by Radju Lauretana to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the station’s opening in collaboration with the St Joseph Band Club, the Ghajnsielem Football Club, l-Ghaqda tal-Armar, the Ghajnsielem Parish Youths and ghajnsielem.com.
Singing, dance and live music characterised the festive evening. A feature narrating the story of Radju Lauretana and the music video of the song Radju Lauretana 5 snin Flimkien were shown on big screen.
Centre Stage Dance Academy, under the direction and choreography of Natalie Sciortino, with a total of almost 100 dancers of various age groups took part in a very entertaining 25-minute dance show with routines to the music of popular Maltese and International Eurovision entries including this year’s winning song ‘Euphoria’ and Kurt Calleja’s ‘This is the night.’
Artist Paul Stellini inspired by the event, produced a colorful portrait of Ghajnsielem Parish Church. At the end of the show Mr Stellini presented his painting to Lelio Spiteri the Radio’s director.
Radju Lauretana is Ghajnsielem’s community radio station and can be followed on 89.3FM, DAB+ and www.radjulauretana.com [3].
