A journey through peasant costumes at the Citadel Gozo

As the saying goes, ‘One should not judge a monk by his habit,’ however, it is also true that the clothing of a person says a lot about him or her and there is a chance to find out next Friday when there will be a one day exhibition in Gozo of peasant costumes and their origins, organised by Heritage Malta, aimed at the younger age group.

This activity is aimed at learning more about our ancestors through the clothes they wore and the process involved in making them. The participants will experience the weaving process and discover 18th Century wedding costumes through paper crafts.

The recommended age of young people interested in attending is 10-14 years and the event will be held next Friday, the 2nd of November at the Citadel between 10am and 1pm.

The price is €5 – Culture Card Accepted. HM Members – €4.
