Jum it-Tifkira, a Remembrance Day commemorative prayer service and wreath laying ceremony in honour of the victims of the two world wars of the 20th century, will be taking place next Sunday, the 11th of November, at Independence Square, Victoria.
The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, will preside over the commemorative ceremony.
As the Citadel clock strikes the eleventh hour a minute of silence will be held followed by the Last Post and the Reveille.

The monument, known also as Christ the King Monument, is a 1949 work of Italian sculptor Carlo Pisi and was unveiled by H.M. Queen Elizabeth II on 7th May 1954.
This commemorative ceremony, organised by the National & Regional Celebrations Committee, within the Ministry for Gozo, will start at 10.30am.
Also taking place on Remembrance Sunday, will be a commemorative lecture entitled ‘Gozo & World War II,’ by Charles Bezzina, a Gozitan author of various books about Gozo and World War II.
This will take place at the Banca Giuratale, Independence Square, Victoria, starting at 11.125am. Booking is recommended on 22156700 or email at info@gozoculture.com [1].
