The small community of San Lawrenz in Gozo is making its final preparations to relive ‘The Greatest Story Ever Told’ during a unique experience which will be taking place this coming Sunday, the 23rd and Christmas Eve, Monday, the 24th of December.
On these two special occasions the village of San Lawrenz will be decorated with only candle light, an ambitious initiative which is being co-ordinated by the village festa enthusiasts to create an original and attractive scene and atmosphere.
In a letter sent to the Parish Priest, Fr. Ignatius Borg specifically for this special event of ‘Twieled fi Djarna,’ His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI promised to be spiritually present in his prayers with the parishioners of San Lawrenz.
The Pope imparted his apostolic blessing on all the participants and audience present on these occasions.
‘Twieled fi Djarna’ will be held on Sunday, the 23rd of December at 6.30pm and Monday, the 24th of December at 7.30pm
