Nominations closed at 12.00pm on Saturday for the post of PL Deputy Leader for Parliamentary Affairs, with the only candidate as MEP Louis Grech.
Louis Grech was proposed by MP Chris Cardona and he was seconded by MPs Karmenu Vella and Joe Mizzi.
The Labour Party statement said that Thursday, the 27th of December has been decided as the election date. Voting will take place between 11am and 7pm in its headquarters in Hamrun and between 11am and 5pm in its club in Victoria, Gozo.
According to the PL statute a candidate is declared the winner after garnering 50% of votes plus 1.
