The Nationalist Party has said that its Manifesto describes the beliefs and principles that have guided and will continue to guide the Nationalist Party in government, “should you give it the mandate to do so in March.”
Ahead of its rally in Nadur Gozo which is taking place on Sunday morning the PN said that “healthcare is one of the core areas that we prioritise. We all know how precious our health and wellbeing are, and this should not be squandered. We believe in a holistic approach and role for government, whereby we do not only provide and seek to constantly improve health services and treatments available, yet also work to prevent the onset of illness.”
The PN continued, “Over the past five years we have worked on campaigns to reduce smoking, for better eating habits, and more exercise and general fitness. We have created public spaces where people can relax outdoors, and have invested heavily in cleaner seas through sewage treatment and other anti-pollution measures.”
“Our Manifesto not only highlights principles, but clearly maps out what we would like to achieve over the next five years. We will ensure the bet possible healthcare provided free of charge, the addition of more medicines to the growing list of those provided free of charge, and cheaper medicines and the extension of the pharmacy of your choice scheme.
“A new cancer treatment centre will be completed, whilst investment will continue in disease prevention programmes such as screenings for breast cancer and colon cancer. Incentives and proposals are also being put forward regarding the care of the elderly,” the PN Party concluded.
