The Alternattiva Demokratika – Partit Ahdar candidate for Gozo, David Camilleri, recently got his campaign for the General Election underway across the island, with the inauguration of his ‘Billboard on Wheels.’
David was born in Victoria and went to school in Nadur and the Seminary in Victoria. When he was 18 years old David moved to New York City for work. There, David said he attended the Art Student’s League for many years, became an artist, as well as attending college.
He worked on restoring buildings and apartments and then took the opportunity to travel the world. After he married, he and his wife returned to the islands in 2010, settling in Qala where they live with their four children as well as several pets and animals. David said that “beside art, architecture and social justice, I have always been interested in the environment, sustainable development and the humane treatment of animals.
