Santa Lucija has just been chosen as the best locality to effectively promote its intangible heritage amongst tourists by the European Commission’s European Destinations of Excellence pilot project.
The award – the European Destinations of Excellence Trophy – will be presented during the European Tourism Forum 2008, which will be held in Bordeaux, France, on the 18th to 19th of September.
Congratulations go out to the Fundazzjoni Folkloristika ta’ Klula for piloting this award, with the assistance of the Kercem Local Council.
