The Xewkija Tigers ground project has recently been completed. Synthetic turf now covers the pitch and minor restructuring works were carried out around the ground.
The works, which cost arount €120,000, were coordinated by the Xewkija Tigers Club with financial support from the Mininstry for Gozo, the National Lottery Good Causes, the Xewkija Local Council and with the help of the Malta Football Association.
The club incorporates the Xewkija Tigers senior team and around 70 children from the area who are currently attending the club’s nursery.
The project was inaugurate by the Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono. Also present for the event was the Minister of Justice, Diaglogue and the Family, Chris Said.
