The Electoral Commission has announced that the approximate average turnout to vote in yesterday’s 23rd General Election was 93%. Which is the same as the 2008 election.
The conciliation of the votes is taking place at Naxxar, which started last night following the close of voting.
At 11.00am the counting process will get underway. The Party Agents will then take a sample from each of the ballot boxes to assess their projections.
Malta is divided into 13 electoral districts and for every district, 5 members are elected to the House of Representatives through the STV system, the single transferable vote.
