The seventh edition of ‘Lejlet Lapsi Notte Gozitana’ was launched this morning by the Minister for Gozo, Anton Refalo.
The Minister said that the event will take place between Friday, the 10th of and Sunday, the 12th of May. As in previous additions the three days of festivities will be a feast of Gozo’s culture and identity.
The Gozo Minister said that the organising committee of Notte Gozitana have ensured a large programme of attractions throughout the weekend for all ages, as well as a number of new items for everyone to experience.
Dr Refalo also said that the Gozo Ministry is working with a number of committees to introduce a regional cultural strategy for future years.
“The Ministry is committed to the inauguration of the Centre for Cultural Identity which will be housed at the Citadel in Victoria. The project is an investment to mark the Capital of Culture 2018.”
He said that those Maltese wishing to travel over to Gozo to experience the weekend of fun and entertainment will be able to take advantage of special arrangements that will be offered by Gozo Channel.
