The Gozo Tourism Association has for the first time participated at the AMITEX Fair held over last weekend, at the MFCC at Ta’Qali, through the manning of the Gozo Stand [1]. This participation at AMITEX was made possible through the full collaboration and co-operation of the Ministry for Gozo.
The GTA said that apart from being an opportunity to showcase the natural beauty of the sister Island, this was also an occasion to promote the touristic services available on the Island.
Promotional material on all categories of Gozitan Hotels and Guesthouses, several apartments as well as numerous farmhouses was readily available to visitors on the Gozo stand. These types of accommodation were complimented by a number of tourism related services and activities like walking, diving, climbing, cycling and obviously a wide selection of Restaurants and bars. Several special offers and giveaways were also available on the stand during the AMITEX Exhibition.
Furthermore the Gozo Stand was animated by three Gozitan establishments namely Savina Creations, Ta’ Mena Estate and Connection Caterers who were putting on show and offering tastes of their local genuine products, manufactured on Gozo.
A ‘Win a leisure break,’ competition was also held on the Gozo Stand, whereby all visitors had the opportunity to try their luck by simply filling in a short questionnaire.
