Mario Saliba, a member of the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps of Gozo, recently attended a course in ‘Conflict Management Skills: Dealing with Contempt and Negativity in the Classroom and in the Workplace,’ which was held in Cyprus.
The five day intensive programme was organised by Dorea Educational Institute and conducted by Mr Naoum Liotas, Organisational Consultant, Trainer and Coach at Arts in Human Resource Management. Another nine participants from different European countries attended the course.
Being present in most of every day’s situations, facing conflict by educators and trainers is a continuous process. The course helped the participants to come into contact with their own issues and look for solutions and answers, while at the same time acquiring various skills to handle conflict in others.
The attendance for this conference was funded by the European Union Program Grundtvig in service training.
