So very sad. Please people learn to treat the sea with respect and only swim within your limits. Gozo is a beautiful island with lots of lovely safe places to swim so if your not sure about the waters ask a local. Tragic end to what should have been a great holiday.

Our Condolences to their Families, and Friends back home in France , Wished they had asked the Local people for a safety place to swim , before they went in this location to swim . . May they rest in Peace . PS My mother used to tell us this, all the time , before we went to swim when we were young …The SEA has SOFT BELLY ,BUT ALSO has Hard HEAD ,, Meaning not to TRUST the SEA GOZITAN from Xaghra .
