Mgr Charles J. Scicluna, Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of Malta, celebrated Mass in Maltese at the Grotto of Massabielle in Lourdes on Sunday morning, during a pigrimage with a group of 336 Maltese pilgrims, which also also includes a number of sick people.
The pilgrimage is organised by the Assocjazzjoni Voluntarji Lourdes (AVL) and is due to return to Malta on Tuesday.
Each year, the Association assists sick persons to travel from Malta to visit the Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Lourdes at the Grotto, where she appeared for the first time to Bernadette Soubirous on the 11th February 1858.
